Honey Singh Mocks Badshah's Stage Name Claim After Old Clip
Two very famous rappers in India, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah, used to be friends and performed together in a music group called Mafia Mundeer.
A long time ago, they had a big fight and stopped being friends.
Recently, Badshah appeared as a judge on a funny show called India's Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina.
Samay asked Badshah how he got his rapper name, and Badshah said he made it up himself.
Then an old video from the past started going around online.
In that video, Badshah seemed to say that Honey Singh was the one who came up with his name.
When Honey Singh saw the video, he wrote a teasing comment, jokingly calling Badshah his 'worthless child' and sharing a video that also challenged Badshah's claim.
The two rappers have been arguing for more than 15 years.
Earlier this year, Badshah said the fight was over at a concert in Dehradun.
But this new joke has brought their old drama back into the spotlight.
On India's Got Latent Season 2 bonus episode 2, comedian Samay Raina asked Badshah how he got his stage name, and Badshah said he chose it himself.
An old viral clip resurfaced appearing to show Badshah crediting Yo Yo Honey Singh with coming up with the name.
Honey Singh reacted in the comment section, writing "Meri nalaayak aulaad" ("My worthless child"), and also re-shared an Instagram reel challenging Badshah's claim.
The rappers share a long-running feud reportedly spanning over 15 years, dating back to their days in the group Mafia Mundeer.
Badshah publicly ended the feud at GraFest 2024 in Dehradun earlier this year, but the latest exchange has revived interest.
Samay also roasted Badshah on the episode by singing a line referencing Honey Singh and the song Brown Rang.
