Maharashtra Coaching Association Seeks Review of Proposed Rules

Maharashtra Coaching Association Seeks Review of Proposed Rules

The Maharashtra Class Owners Association wants the state to review rules being planned for coaching classes.

It says the rules should protect students but also work for different kinds of coaching centres.

The association wants younger students to be allowed to attend with suitable safeguards.

It also says penalties should reflect how serious a violation is.

For fire safety, it wants clear requirements and a way to appeal decisions.

It thinks classroom space and fee refunds should be judged with more flexibility.

It also proposed changes to toilet, registration and teacher qualification rules.

The association says it supports regulation, but wants the final rules to be practical and fair.
