ByteDance Unveils Seedance 2.5 to Compete in AI Video Race
ByteDance, the company that runs TikTok, made a new tool called Seedance 2.5 that can make videos using artificial intelligence.
It lets people give the computer a lot more pictures, short video clips, and sounds to help it understand what they want.
The new videos can be up to 30 seconds long, twice as long as before, and users can edit specific parts of the video.
The tool is available on a few platforms and will soon let developers add it to their own apps.
ByteDance wants to help creators make better videos and stay competitive with other AI video makers.
ByteDance launches upgraded AI video platform Seedance 2.5, competing with OpenAI, Google, and Kling.
Seedance 2.5 allows up to 30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio files per prompt, doubling reference capacity from 12.
Video length extended to 30 seconds, with timestamp-level editing for precise scene control.
Platform available via Jimeng AI, Doubao Pro, and soon API access through Volcano Engine Ark for developers.
The update aims to give creators more control and produce longer, detailed videos amid rising AI video competition.
