India, Bangladesh U19 Captains Skip Toss Handshake
India and Bangladesh are playing in the Under-19 World Cup in Zimbabwe.
The captains of both teams did not shake hands at the toss, which is unusual.
This happened because there are some problems between the two countries.
India has a rule not to shake hands with Pakistan's team captains too.
Both teams have good players and will try to win the match.
The match will be shown on TV and online.
India needs to win to almost secure a spot in the next round.
The teams did not say anything officially about not shaking hands.
India U19 and Bangladesh U19 captains skipped the traditional handshake at the toss in the U19 World Cup 2026.
The incident occurred at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, on January 17, 2026.
India is captained by Ayush Mhatre, while Bangladesh vice-captain Zawad Abrar stood in at the toss.
Neither team has made an official statement regarding the incident.
This follows India's unofficial no-handshake policy against Pakistan, which started with senior men's team captain Suryakumar Yadav at the Asia Cup 2025.
