India's Oscar Entry Submissions Open from August 15
India is choosing a movie to send to the Oscars!
The Film Federation of India (FFI) is in charge and has announced the submission period.
Filmmakers can submit movies between August 15 and September 10.
The movies must have played in theaters for at least a week and show "Indianness."
It means they should be about Indian ideas, not just regular stories.
The FFI will pick a team of people to watch the movies.
Then they'll vote to decide which film represents India, with the winner announced on September 28.
Last year, "Laapataa Ladies" was selected but didn't win.
The selected films must have at least 60% of its content in an Indian language and be filmed in India.
