Yogi Adityanath Launches Projects in Opposition Strongholds Ahead of 2027

Uttar Pradesh will hold its next Assembly election in February 2027.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been visiting many districts across the state.

During these visits, he has started or opened projects such as roads, schools, hospitals, and water facilities.

The projects cover 115 Assembly areas and cost more than Rs 38,000 crore.

Many of these areas supported the Samajwadi Party and Congress in the 2024 national election.

The BJP had won most of the same areas in the 2022 state election.

Adityanath says the visits are government programmes that bring development to people.

A state BJP leader described them as an unannounced campaign before the election.

Adityanath has also criticized the Samajwadi Party and Congress at several events.
