Premier League and Newcastle Condemn Racist Abuse Against Joe Willock
Joe Willock, a football player for Newcastle United, received very mean and scary messages on Instagram after his team won a game.
These messages included bad words about his race and threats to hurt him and his family.
Both Newcastle United and the Premier League, which is the big group that runs football in England, said this is very wrong and promised to help Joe.
They also said they will try to find the person who sent these messages and make sure they are punished.
The club wants the company that owns Instagram, called Meta, to do more to stop this kind of thing from happening.
Joe Willock received racist abuse and violent threats on Instagram after Newcastle United's win over Crystal Palace.
Newcastle United and the Premier League strongly condemned the abuse and offered support to Willock.
The club reported the incident to the police and demanded action from Meta, Instagram's parent company.
The Premier League stated that individuals found guilty of discrimination will face severe consequences, including legal prosecution.
