Mumbai Ganeshotsav Sculpture Sets Guinness Organ Donation Record

Mumbai Ganeshotsav Sculpture Sets Guinness Organ Donation Record

A hospital in Mumbai made a very tall sculpture showing human organs.

It is called “Organ of Hope” and is 15.59 metres high.

The sculpture was displayed during the Ganeshotsav festival in Lalbaug.

It has entered Guinness World Records as the largest fibreglass sculpture of human organs.

The organisers want more people to learn about donating organs.

Volunteers are explaining the donation process and answering questions.

They are also encouraging people to talk with their families about their wishes.

Organisers say donated organs are assigned according to medical need, not wealth.

India still has many more people waiting for organs than available donations.
