Kerala's Cervical Cancer Campaign Yields Promising Results
In Kerala, many women have a type of cancer called cervical cancer.
To help them, the health department started a special program in February 2024.
They asked many women to get checked, and because of this, they found over 80 women who have cancer and more than 200 women who have something that could turn into cancer later.
This helps keep women healthy by finding and fixing problems early.
Kerala's cervical cancer rate is 7.9%.
