IndiGo Crisis: Delays, Cancellations, and Passenger Compensation
IndiGo Airlines recently had a lot of problems with their flights.
Because of fog and not having enough pilots and crew, many flights were delayed or cancelled.
This caused a lot of trouble for passengers who had to wait for a long time at airports and some even lost their luggage.
The airline has said they are sorry and will give some money back to passengers who were badly affected.
But many passengers are still having trouble getting their money back and are not happy with how the airline is handling the situation.
The government has rules that say airlines should give food, a place to stay, and some money to passengers when flights are delayed or cancelled.
But some passengers say IndiGo did not do this.
They can go to special courts to ask for more money if they think the airline did not treat them fairly.
IndiGo issued a travel advisory warning passengers of potential delays due to fog in Northern India.
Passengers experienced significant delays, cancellations, and lost luggage during the crisis.
IndiGo offered Rs 10,000 travel vouchers to severely affected passengers and additional compensation for cancelled flights.
Passengers can seek further compensation through consumer courts if they believe they were not treated fairly.
IndiGo has been working to address the backlog of refunds and lost luggage, but many passengers are still facing difficulties.
