Trump’s Immigration Policy Remains Strongest Issue
Donald Trump’s immigration rules are still the thing people talk about the most when they think of him.
A new poll says 39% of adults think he’s doing a good job with immigration, which is higher than how many think he’s doing with the economy or health care.
Most Republicans—about 8 out of 10—agree with his immigration plans, while only a few Democrats do.
Many people, however, say some of his enforcement tactics, like stopping cars to find undocumented immigrants, are too harsh.
Even though Trump’s overall popularity is falling, his immigration stance keeps him popular with his base as the 2024 mid‑term elections approach.
Immigration approval at 39%, higher than economy (32%) or health care (~30%)
About 80% of Republicans approve of Trump’s immigration policies
Half of Americans say Trump has gone too far in deportations and legal immigration limits

Trump’s economic approval dropped to 32%, and health care remains his weakest area
