State Department Evacuated 9,000 Americans Amid Iran War

The United States moved about 9,000 of its citizens out of several countries.

This happened after the US-Israel-Iran war began.

The people were evacuated from places in the Middle East and Europe.

The United States Department of State organized the operation.

Some people traveled on private or regular commercial airplanes.

Others used roads or boats.

By late June, the operation had cost more than $11 million.

Most of the people left Israel, with Iraq and Jordan next.
