Russia intercepts major drone attack from Ukraine

Russia intercepts major drone attack from Ukraine

On Wednesday, Ukraine launched a big drone attack on Russia, sending at least 287 drones towards various regions, including Moscow.

Russia's air defences shot down many of these drones, with at least 40 intercepted over the Moscow region alone.

The attack caused flights to be diverted from Moscow's main airports.

Russia has been attacking Ukraine with missiles and drones, especially targeting its energy sector.

In response, Ukraine has been trying to hit Russian oil refineries and terminals with drones.

Additionally, Ukrainian sea drones attacked and disabled a tanker involved in trading Russian oil in the Black Sea.

This conflict has made it more expensive and risky for ships to sail in the Black Sea, as insurance costs have gone up.
