Dhamne earns maiden Davis Cup call-up as India retain core
Manas Dhamne is a young tennis player who just got picked for India's big team for the first time.
That means he might get to play for his country in a famous competition called the Davis Cup.
The Davis Cup is a big tournament where countries play tennis against each other.
India already won a very close match against the Netherlands in February.
The score was 3 to 2, so the team had to fight hard for the win.
Now India will play against South Korea in a city called Seoul.
The match will happen on September 18 and 19.
If India wins, the team will go to Bologna in Italy.
There, they would play in the special final round of the Davis Cup.
Another player named Dhakshineswar Suresh helped India win last time by winning three matches all by himself.
Manas Dhamne earned his first Davis Cup main squad call-up for India's Qualifiers Round 2 tie against South Korea.
India retained the core of the team that beat the Netherlands 3-2 in Bengaluru in February.
The squad comprises singles players Sumit Nagal, Dhakshineswar Suresh and Dhamne, plus doubles pair Yuki Bhambri and N Sriram Balaji.
Dhakshineswar Suresh, who won both singles rubbers and the doubles against the Netherlands, is now an automatic singles choice.
South Korea, a 3-2 winner over Argentina in Busan through Soonwoo Kwon and Hyeon Chung, hosts the tie in Seoul on September 18-19, with the Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna at stake.
