NAMCO Bank Gets Majority Approval for Jalna Merchants Bank Merger

A bank is a place where people keep their money safely.

Two banks in India decided to join together to become one bigger bank.

The bigger bank is called NAMCO Bank.

The smaller bank is called Motiram Agrawal Jalna Merchants Co-operative Bank.

The people who own NAMCO Bank had a big meeting called an Annual General Meeting.

At the meeting, they voted on whether the two banks should join.

Most people voted yes, so the merger was approved.

The bank also told its members they would get a 15% dividend, which is like a reward for being part of the bank.

Everyone talked about 26 different topics, like savings plans and how to serve customers better.

The meeting went well overall, even though there was a small argument about the merger plan.
