Direct Dhaka-Karachi Flight Resumes After 14 Years
A special flight from Bangladesh will land in Pakistan tonight, starting direct flights between Dhaka and Karachi after 14 years.
This is a big deal because the two countries haven't had direct flights since 2012.
The flight will happen twice a week, on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Before this, people had to take connecting flights through places like Dubai or Doha.
The governments have been talking about doing this for a while to make their relationship better.
The flight will leave Dhaka at 8 pm and arrive in Karachi at 11 pm.
The return flight will leave Karachi at midnight and arrive in Dhaka at 4:20 am.
This is a test period, and the airline has permission to fly until March 30.
There are many people who are happy about this because they can now travel more often between the two countries.
Direct flights between Dhaka and Karachi resume after 14 years, operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
The first flight, BG-341, departed Dhaka at 8:00 pm and arrived in Karachi at 11:00 pm on Thursday.
Flights will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Saturdays, with the return flight departing Karachi at midnight.
The resumption aims to boost trade, educational exchanges, and cultural ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
The airline has been granted a license until March 30 to test the route before long-term permission is considered.
