Nellore Educator Dedicates Life to Rural Science Education
Nellore Subrahmanyam grew up wanting to learn science, but didn't have the resources.
He decided to help other kids in rural areas have the chance to learn.
He created a mobile lab in a vehicle to visit remote villages, letting children explore science with their own hands.
He also built a research center with cool things like a butterfly garden and observatory.
Now, he's in charge of a science center and wants to bring science to even more kids, using digital tools and fun programs.
He hopes to make science accessible for all children, just like it should be!
Nellore Subrahmanyam, from a marginalized tribal community, became a science educator dedicated to bringing science to rural children.
He started 'Science on Wheels,' a mobile lab offering hands-on science experiences to children in remote villages.
Subrahmanyam established the Rural Children Research Centre, providing a space for tribal children to research and innovate.
He was appointed curator of the District Science Centre, Nellore, and revamped exhibits with digital tools.
Subrahmanyam aims to expand his initiatives, digitize tribal science education, and refurbish the Rural Research Centre.
