Five Killed When Car Hits Stationary Water Tanker on TN Highway
A car was driving fast on a highway in Tamil Nadu when it hit a water tanker that was parked on the side.
The impact crushed the car and all five people inside died right away.
Four of the people were a man named Kanagaraj, his wife Narmada, and their two daughters Aarthi and Poorani.
The fifth person’s identity is still unknown.
Police and rescue teams found the bodies, took them to a hospital for examinations, and started an investigation to find out exactly what happened.
Five people died instantly when a speeding car crashed into a stationary water tanker on the Udumalaipettai–Pollachi National Highway near Nallampalli junction.
The vehicle was traveling from Udumalai toward Pollachi and was completely crushed upon impact.
Four of the victims were identified as Kanagaraj, his wife Narmada, and their daughters Aarthi and Poorani, all from Gurubampalayam near Madukkarai.
The fifth victim’s identity is still unknown; investigators are checking if they were the driver or another passenger.
Police and rescue teams recovered the bodies, sent them to Pollachi Government Hospital for post‑mortem, and opened a case to investigate the crash.
