Noida airport waterlogging after rain triggers BJP-Samajwadi political spat
There is a brand-new airport in India called the Noida International Airport.
It is in a town named Jewar, in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
After very heavy rain on Tuesday, water collected on the road that connects the terminal with the parking area.
People took videos of the water and shared them online.
A politician named Akhilesh Yadav joked on X that boats would soon be operating at the airport and blamed the state government, calling it corruption.
The airport says its teams removed the water within 30 minutes, and that flights and passengers were never delayed.
Another politician, Dhirendra Singh, visited the airport and told officials to fix the drains for good.
He said the opposition was ignoring how much Jewar has developed.
The airport opened on March 28 this year and was built as a partnership between the state government and private companies.
Officials said the rainfall was unusually heavy and that everything returned to normal quickly.

Airport authorities said the temporary water accumulation was drained within 30 minutes and flight operations and passenger movement continued smoothly.
Jewar BJP MLA Dhirendra Singh inspected the waterlogged site and directed officials to review drainage arrangements and ensure a permanent solution.
The greenfield airport, inaugurated on March 28 this year, was developed under a public-private partnership with the Uttar Pradesh government and is projected to meet international standards.
