Bihar Launches Online Portal for Surplus Teacher Transfers
Bihar has a lot of teachers who are not needed in some schools.
The state made a new rule that lets these teachers choose a new school to work at.
They can pick up to 30 schools they like and fill out a form online.
The portal opened on July 31, and teachers had until August 5 to send in their forms.
The state will move teachers every five years, and the rules say women teachers will work in nearby villages while men will work in nearby blocks.
