Gold Prices Dip as Dollar Strengthens, Rate Cut Hopes Fade
Gold prices went down a little bit today.
This happened because the dollar became stronger, which makes gold more expensive for people who don't use dollars.
Also, people are less sure that the Federal Reserve will lower interest rates again in December.
Investors are waiting to see what happens with jobs in the U.S. before making more decisions about gold.
Gold prices edged lower on Thursday due to a stronger dollar and reduced expectations for a Federal Reserve rate cut in December
The dollar index rose to a more than two-week high, making gold more expensive for holders of other currencies
Investors awaited the U.S. non-farm payrolls report for further cues on the Fed's policy trajectory
Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.2% to $4,075.80 per ounce
SPDR Gold Trust holdings rose 0.22% to 1,043.72 tonnes on Wednesday
