Bomb Threats Evacuate Schools, Secretariat
Punjab, Haryana secretariat building evacuated after bomb threat; nothing found · m.rediff.com

On Thursday, both the Punjab and Haryana secretariat building in Chandigarh and five schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails.

The emails contained references to Khalistan and threats against the Punjab chief minister.

Police, fire brigade, and bomb squads were called in to check the buildings.

After thorough inspections, no explosive devices were found in either location.

This happened a day after similar bomb threat emails were sent to schools in Chandigarh, which were also declared hoaxes.

The evacuations caused temporary suspensions of administrative work and classes, but all premises were declared safe afterward.
