India Finance Minister's Bhutan Visit Delayed by Bad Weather
India's Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, was supposed to go to Bhutan for a four-day visit.
But when her plane was flying there on Thursday, the weather got really bad with lots of rain.
Because it was too stormy to land safely in Bhutan, the pilot had to land the plane in a different place called Bagdogra Airport.
The minister had to stay overnight in a nearby town called Siliguri.
She hopes to fly to Bhutan on Friday if the weather gets better.
During her visit, she plans to see important places in Bhutan that India helped build, like power plants.
She will also meet with the King and Prime Minister of Bhutan to talk about how their countries can help each other with money and business.
She will even see how people in Bhutan can use a special payment system from India.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's visit to Bhutan was disrupted due to severe weather conditions.
Her plane made an emergency landing at Bagdogra Airport in Darjeeling on Thursday afternoon.
Sitharaman will stay overnight in Siliguri and plans to travel to Bhutan on Friday, weather permitting.
The four-day official tour from October 30 to November 2 aims to strengthen economic and financial cooperation.
