Shravan's 2nd Monday draws massive crowds to Deoghar Temple

During a special holy month called Shravan, many people visit temples to pray to Lord Shiva.

On the second Monday of this month, a huge crowd came to the Baba Temple in Deoghar, Jharkhand.

They poured holy water on the temple as part of a ritual called Jalabhishek.

The local government made special plans to keep everyone safe and help the crowds move smoothly.

One visitor said the facilities at the temple were very good.

Many other temples across India also had big crowds that day.

In Uttarakhand, people gathered at the Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple in Haridwar carrying Ganga water.

In Assam, thousands of people visited the Krishnashram Shiva Temple in Nagaon.

Everyone chanted and prayed to Lord Shiva during this special time.
