Tier-2 Cities Lead Ease of Living Rankings
The latest Ease of Living rankings in India show that smaller, Tier-2 cities are doing better than big cities like Delhi and Bengaluru.
These cities have good infrastructure and fewer people, which makes life better for residents.
The rankings are based on things like schools, hospitals, clean water, and safe roads.
The government has also made some changes to laws and started new projects to make living conditions better.
For example, they have built more houses and provided tap water to most homes.
The survey says that these smaller cities are doing well because they have less traffic and better rules.
Meanwhile, Telangana is highlighted for its economic growth, especially in manufacturing, services, and agriculture.
The state has also improved land governance and reduced inflation, making life easier for its people.
Tier-2 cities dominate India's Ease of Living Index 2025, overtaking larger metros.
Top 10 cities include Pune, Navi Mumbai, Greater Mumbai, Tirupati, Chandigarh, Thane, Raipur, Indore, Vijayawada, and Bhopal.
The index measures service and infrastructure indicators like education, health, housing, and mobility.
Recent reforms, such as the Jan Vishwas Act and digital governance measures, have improved living standards.
National missions like the Smart Cities Mission and Jal Jeevan Mission have supported infrastructure improvements.
