Opposition Protest in Parliament Over Police Action on NEET Protesters
In Delhi, some politicians from the opposition shouted loudly inside Parliament because they were upset about how the police treated students who were protesting a test called NEET.
The students had gathered at a place called Jantar Mantar to ask for fairness in the exam.
The police used tear gas and sticks, and the opposition said this was too harsh.
The opposition leaders, like Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, asked the Home Minister, Amit Shah, to apologize and to let a court look into what happened.
They also wanted big changes to how the exam is run.
The protest made the Parliament pause for a while, and the opposition kept asking for more answers and reforms.
Opposition MPs staged a noisy protest inside Parliament, disrupting Lok Sabha proceedings.
Protesters demanded accountability for police use of tear gas and lathi-charge at Jantar Mantar during NEET paper leak demonstrations.
Congress leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, called for an apology from Home Minister Amit Shah and a Supreme Court‑monitored inquiry.
Mallikarjun Kharge demanded Shah’s resignation and criticized the government’s handling of examination reforms.
The session was adjourned until 2 pm amid persistent slogans and demands for reforms to the National Testing Agency.
