Calcutta High Court Ends Protection for Suvendu Adhikari
The Calcutta High Court decided to remove the protection that kept the police from filing new cases against Suvendu Adhikari, a leader from the BJP.
This means the police can now investigate him more easily.
The court also got rid of 15 old cases and set up a special team with both state and federal investigators to look into four others.
This is a big change, as Adhikari had been protected since 2022, which was considered a temporary measure.
