Heart Attack Symptoms Can Look Different In Older Adults

Heart problems do not always look the same in older people.

Sometimes a person may simply seem more tired or short of breath.

They may think this is only because they are getting older.

But a new or worsening change can be a sign that the heart is not working properly.

A heart attack may happen without strong chest pain.

It can instead cause breathing trouble, weakness, dizziness, nausea, sweating or confusion.

Pain may also be felt in the jaw, neck, back, shoulder or arms.

If an older person suddenly feels very different or cannot do normal activities, they should be checked by a medical professional quickly.
