‘Mutiny’ Review Finds Familiar Jason Statham Action Afloat at Sea
“Mutiny” is an action movie starring Jason Statham.
Much of the action happens on a boat or ship.
The review compares its basic idea to “Die Hard” on a ship.
Statham’s character, Cole, fights several enemies.
One fight takes place in a narrow corridor.
The review says these fights are short and rough.
Statham may not be the most technically skilled martial artist, but he moves very well.
The movie also shows him acting quickly with a gun and while driving.
Overall, the review finds familiar Statham-style action in a different setting.
The film is presented as a shipboard version of a “Die Hard” story starring Jason Statham.
Action sequences are described as terse, intense and appropriately brutal.
A narrow-corridor fight draws on setups associated with Gordon Liu and Donnie Yen.
The review says Statham is not the most technically perfect martial artist but moves gracefully.
The film also highlights his efficient reactions with firearms and behind the wheel during the Tibu ambush.
