Kashmir’s First Printmaking Exhibition Highlights a Growing Artistic Language

A new art show has opened in Srinagar.

It is called Engraved Expressions.

The show is about printmaking, which means making pictures using special surfaces, ink, and a press.

It is described as Kashmir’s first group exhibition focused only on this kind of art.

Many experienced artists and students are showing their work.

Etching is one of the main techniques included, but the exhibition also presents other methods.

Nasreen Mohsin helped lead the project, with support from Yousuf Naqashbandi, KAAF, and Art Harbour.

Students who took part received certificates to encourage them to continue making art.
