ASEAN to Probe Landmine Incident Derailing Thai-Cambodian Truce
Cambodia and Thailand have a long-standing argument about where their border is.
They recently made a peace agreement with help from the U.S. and other countries, but it's in trouble.
On Monday, a landmine exploded on the border in Thailand, hurting a soldier.
Thailand is blaming Cambodia for laying new landmines and has stopped the peace agreement.
Cambodia says they didn't lay new mines and wants to stick to the agreement.
There was also shooting on Tuesday, with each side blaming the other.
Now, a group from a regional organization called ASEAN will go to the border on Friday to investigate what happened.
ASEAN observers will investigate a landmine incident on the Thai-Cambodian border on Friday.
Thailand suspended a ceasefire deal and accused Cambodia of laying fresh landmines that injured a soldier.
Cambodia denied the landmine charges and urged Thailand to adhere to the recently signed truce agreement.
Cross-border shooting also occurred, with both countries blaming each other.
The long-standing border dispute has a history of conflict, including a deadly clash in July.
