Jalgaon UBT Women Protest Rising Sugar Prices With Sugar-Free Tea

A political women’s group in Jalgaon protested because sugar has become more expensive.

They held the protest outside the city municipal corporation.

Instead of using sugar, they made tea without sugar and served it to people.

The group said sugar now costs about ₹80 for one kilogram.

They also said tea at roadside stalls has become about ₹5 more expensive per cup.

Some tea sellers are offering jaggery tea as another option.

The protesters said higher prices are making it harder for families to manage daily expenses.

They wanted the demonstration to draw attention to the problem.
