Birdwatchers Document 114 Species in Vizag
Birdwatchers in Vizag found 114 different types of birds in just one day.
They saw 64 kinds near the airport and 50 kinds at a lake called Khambala Cheruvu.
This shows that even in busy city areas, there are many birds living and visiting.
They saw ducks, herons, kingfishers, and many other birds.
The birdwatchers think these places are important for birds and should be protected from pollution and building.
They hope their findings will help people understand how important these places are for nature.
Birdwatchers documented 64 species near Vizag airport and 50 species at Khambala Cheruvu lake in one day.
The wetland near the airport has recorded a total of 141 species, while Khambala Cheruvu has 149 species.
Observations included waterfowl, waders, raptors, and smaller birds like kingfishers and sunbirds.
Experts highlight the ecological value of urban wetlands and the need for conservation.
The findings challenge assumptions about where nature can thrive, even in urban areas.
