Kalki Jayanti 2026: Date, Muhurat, Significance and Vishnu Connection
Kalki Jayanti is a special day in the Hindu religion.
It celebrates Lord Kalki, who is believed to be the tenth and final form of Lord Vishnu.
This year, the day falls on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
On this day, people fast, pray, and visit temples of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
According to old stories, Lord Kalki has not been born yet.
He is expected to come at the very end of Kali Yuga, the current age of darkness and chaos.
When he arrives, he will destroy evil and punish bad people.
Then he will bring back dharma, or goodness, and start a new age called Sat Yuga.
The story comes from holy books like the Kalki Purana, Vishnu Purana, and Bhagavata Purana.
People also read scriptures like the Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana on this day.
Kalki Jayanti 2026 falls on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, on the sixth day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravan.
The day marks the appearance of Lord Vishnu in his Kalki form, the tenth and final incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
According to Drik Panchang, the Kalki Jayanti Muhurat is from 03:46 PM to 06:28 PM.
