Hyderabad BLOs Intensify Voter Document Collection Before SIR Deadline
Hyderabad is checking voter records through a process called the Special Intensive Revision.
Some voters have been asked to provide documents because their records need checking.
Booth Level Officers are visiting homes and calling people to help them submit the papers, including digitally.
They are working extra hours because the deadline to file claims and objections is October 7.
Officials say more than 80% of hearings were completed by October 5.
The claims and objections must be cleared by November 5.
The final voter list is planned for November 11.
Officials have asked voters who received notices to respond with the required documents.
With two days remaining before the October 7 deadline, Hyderabad Booth Level Officers are stepping up efforts to collect voter documents for the Special Intensive Revision.
BLOs are visiting voters at home, calling them, and accepting digital document submissions when physical collection is not possible.
The district identified 582,217 electors under “no mapping” and 672,700 cases with anomalies; notices were delivered for all 1,254,917 cases.
As of October 5, more than 80% of hearings were completed, and over nine lakh electors were found eligible for final publication.
