Swiggy's Instamart Aims for 2X Growth Without Major Expansion

Swiggy's Instamart Aims for 2X Growth Without Major Expansion

Swiggy, a food delivery company, has a service called Instamart that delivers groceries and other items quickly.

In their recent report, Swiggy said that their current network of dark stores (special warehouses for quick delivery) can handle more than twice the current number of orders.

This means they don't need to build many new stores to grow.

Instead, they want to make better use of their existing stores, offer more products, and encourage customers to buy more items in each order.

They also want to focus on making money rather than just growing quickly.

Swiggy's competitors, like Blinkit and Zepto, are expanding their stores rapidly, but Swiggy believes that focusing on efficiency and customer experience will help them win.

Swiggy's Instamart delivered 412 million orders in the last year, and their average order value increased by 34.4%.

They also reduced their losses in the last quarter.

Swiggy is also trying to make Instamart an 'everything store' by offering more than just groceries, like electronics and toys.

They are also working on other services to keep customers engaged and using their platform more often.
