Bandra Road Rage: Fitness Trainer Attacked; Accused Claims Self-Defence
Something scary happened late at night in Mumbai, India.
A fitness trainer named Arjunjit was driving with his wife in their car.
Some men in another car got very angry at him on the road.
They stopped his car near a lake and shouted at him.
In the video, men can be seen using a baseball bat and a hockey stick to break the car's windows.
Arjunjit's wife was frightened and kept saying she had called the police.
Other drivers and local people tried to stop the fight.
The police found three of the men and questioned them, but later let them go for now.
One of those men says a different story — that Arjunjit hit his car lots of times and attacked him first.
The police are still trying to figure out what really happened, and many people watched the video online.
A viral video shows fitness trainer Arjunjit Garewal (39) being confronted and attacked by a group of men in the middle of the road near Bandra Talao, Mumbai, around 12:15 am on August 9.
Garewal alleged the Mahindra XUV700 occupants repeatedly cut his vehicle and drove aggressively, then chased and rammed his car near a petrol pump after he overtook them.
The attackers allegedly used a baseball bat and a hockey stick to assault Garewal and damage his red Mahindra Thar's windows, while his wife is heard saying she had called police (100).
Bandra police registered an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for assault and criminal intimidation and detained Anas K (25), Bilal Shaikh (30), and Rajen, who were later released after being served notices.
