PM Modi Pushes Decolonisation in Third Term
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been talking about decolonisation for a long time.
Now, in his third term, he is making it a big goal.
He says India needs to free its mind from colonial thinking to grow and be strong.
He gave an example of how some people used to say India's slow economic growth was because of Hinduism.
But now, India is growing fast, and no one links it to Hinduism.
Modi says this shows how colonial ideas have hurt India's self-esteem.
He also talked about other bad labels like 'Cow Belt' and 'Brahminical Patriarchy' that have been used to stereotype parts of India and Hindu traditions.
Modi believes that by freeing India's mind from these colonial ideas, the country can grow stronger and achieve its goals.
PM Modi has made decolonisation a stated goal in his third term.
He highlighted the term 'Hindu rate of growth' as an example of colonial mindset.
The term 'Cow Belt' was popularised by English-speaking media to stereotype Hindi-speaking regions.
The term 'Brahminical Patriarchy' was coined by Indian feminists and Communists.
Modi believes decolonisation is crucial for India's growth and global ambitions.
