Arms dealers arrested near Indo-Bangladesh border in Bangaon
Police in India caught two men who were secretly sending guns and bullets to another country, Bangladesh.
Their names are Shahidul Mondal and Anu Khan.
Police found lots of weapons when they searched the men's homes at night.
One man bought the guns from different places in India.
The other man sold them in Bangladesh.
The men were taken to a court to explain what happened.
Police are checking if the men worked with bad groups.
Recently, police also caught another man who may have worked with a foreign spy agency.
Police say they are still learning more about this case.
Police arrested cross-border arms dealers Shahidul Mondal and Anu Khan from Bangaon, North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal.
Huge consignments of arms and ammunition were recovered after simultaneous raids at their residences late Wednesday night.
Incriminating documents showed both were responsible for trafficking arms to neighbouring Bangladesh.
Shahidul procured arms from local sources in West Bengal and Munger, Bihar, while Anup handled marketing them in Bangladesh.
Police have not confirmed any link between the dealers and Wahab Mondal, a Pakistani national linked to the ISI arrested in nearby Habra.
