Indian Migrant Population in Israel Rises to 50,000

More Indians are moving to Israel for work.

About 50,000 Indians now live there, compared with about 15,000 earlier.

Many work in caregiving, construction, technology, farming and the diamond trade.

The Indian Embassy will hold special service camps to help them.

The first camp will be held in Tel Aviv on October 10.

These camps can help verify passports and provide other services without requiring an appointment.

Verified passports are especially important because Israel is scheduled to hold general elections next month.

Israel also has about 85,000 Indian Jews who moved there from different parts of India.
