Delhi-NCR Flooded After Record Monsoon Rains Submerge Roads, Hospitals

In August, a very heavy rainstorm hit Delhi and the nearby cities of Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad.

The rain was so strong that streets and roads were covered with water.

Even hospitals got flooded, and some homes and cars were damaged or collapsed.

This is called flooding, and it made it very hard for people to travel.

Traffic was severely disrupted, and there were many emergency situations.

The rain measured 127 millimeters in just the first seven days of August.

That is the most rain at the start of August in a long time.

People had to be careful and wait for the water to go down so life could return to normal.
