Four Arrested for Duping Cancer Patient in Insurance Fraud
Four people were arrested for tricking a cancer patient out of Rs 1.30 lakh.
They pretended to be insurance officials and told the victim, KP Tomar, that he needed to pay money to get his insurance refund.
The victim paid Rs 83,000 and Rs 47,000 into different accounts.
Later, they asked for a fake Rs 12 lakh RBI bond, which made the victim realize it was a scam.
The police found out that the money was sent through the accounts of Devender Kumar's wife and sister-in-law.
The police arrested Devender, Arun, Simran, and Manpreet.
They found phones and a debit card used in the scam.
The police are still investigating.
