New Delhi Introduces QR Parking for Republic Day
The Delhi Police and the Ministry of Defence have introduced a new QR code-based parking system for the Republic Day and Beating Retreat celebrations at Kartavya Path.
This system will help people find parking spots near their seats.
There are 22 parking lots that can hold about 8,000 vehicles.
The QR codes will give real-time information about parking, making it easier for people to get to their seats without any confusion.
This is the first time such a system is being used for these events.
All enclosures for this year’s Republic Day parade have been named after rivers, and commuters will be directed to specific metro stations depending on whether their allotted seating enclosure lies to the north or south of the Kartavya Path.
Spectators have been advised to rely on metro services as far as possible and follow announcements and signage for smooth access to Kartavya Path.
