HDFC Bank Shares Rise 3% as Succession Debate Continues

HDFC Bank’s share price went up on Tuesday.

It reached Rs 730.30, about 3% higher than before.

The bank’s total market value increased by more than Rs 23,000 crore.

A Bahrain court rejected claims connected to Credit Suisse bonds bought through HDFC Bank.

The court said investors had not provided enough acceptable evidence.

Investors are also watching who will become the bank’s next chief executive.

The bank has sent two names to the Reserve Bank of India for approval.

Analysts say an internal leader could provide stability, while an outside leader could bring bigger changes.

Nomura still recommends buying the shares and has set a target price of Rs 950.
