Vasai School Faces Recognition Cancellation After Student Death
A young student in the 6th grade died after being punished with squats for arriving late to school.
The school, Shri Hanuman Vidya Mandir in Vasai, was found to have broken rules and not taken good care of its students.
Because of this, the government has suggested that the school should no longer be allowed to operate after the 2025-26 school year.
The school was also running classes for higher grades without permission.
Three school officials were suspended for not doing their jobs properly.
The students from this school will be moved to other schools.
