Nandanam College Sees Surge in Women's Applications
Once an all-boys college, Nandanam College in Chennai is trying to become a co-ed school.
This year, lots more women wanted to go there!
Over 11,000 women applied, which is ten times more than last year.
They mostly want to study business, but some also want to learn skills like tailoring.
The college is popular because it's close by, doesn't cost much, and has good transport links.
Also, many students couldn't afford private colleges, so the government college was a great option.
The college also has special clubs and programs.
This is good news for the college, which is getting a lot more applications than it has space for!
Nandanam College, previously all-male, is attempting a makeover to become co-ed.
