India Aims for First Gold at FISU World University Squash Championship

India is hosting the FISU World University Squash Championship in Mumbai starting August 3.

This is the first time India is hosting this event.

The Indian team, including bronze medallist Suraj Chand, aims to win its first-ever gold medal.

Suraj Chand, who also represents India in the Asian Games, feels confident but also pressured to win.

Teams from 14 other countries, including Egypt, France, and Great Britain, will participate.

India won a bronze medal in the previous edition in Johannesburg.

The championship will be held at Somaiya Vidyavihar University.
