New Aadhaar App Launched for Digital ID Storage
Imagine your Aadhaar card is like your special ID.
Now, the government has made an app for your phone so you can keep your ID right there!
You can download this early version to try it out and help make it even better.
The app lets you share your Aadhaar ID digitally without needing the paper card.
You can even choose to hide your full 12-digit number when you share it, keeping your information private.
If you have family members whose Aadhaar is linked to your phone number, you can manage up to five different IDs on one device.
It also has a cool feature where you can lock your fingerprint information so it's extra safe, and you have to unlock it to use it.
The UIDAI has launched a new Aadhaar mobile app for iOS and Android devices.
Users can download an early-access version of the app to provide feedback before its final rollout.
The app allows for digital sharing of Aadhaar ID, including via QR code and masked details.
It supports managing up to five Aadhaar profiles on a single device if linked to the same registered mobile number.
The app includes a biometric locking/unlocking feature for enhanced security of stored Aadhaar data.
