Chandigarh Traffic Police Proposes Redesign to Ease Railway Station Congestion

Chandigarh Traffic Police Proposes Redesign to Ease Railway Station Congestion

The Chandigarh Traffic Police has proposed several changes to reduce traffic congestion near the railway station.

They want to reorganize the bus stop so buses can park in a straight line, move the U-turn used by buses about 100 meters further, and possibly move the bus stop beyond the station exit.

They also plan to better regulate taxis and auto-rickshaws to prevent illegal parking and pick-ups.

These changes aim to make traffic flow smoother and safer for everyone.

The proposals came after a survey with railway officials and safety experts found that the main issues were conflicts between buses and other vehicles, and unauthorized stopping.

The changes will be done with the help of railway authorities and other involved parties.
