Google Launches PC Connect for Android XR
Google has introduced a new feature called PC Connect for Android XR.
This feature allows users to stream games and apps from their Windows PC directly to the Samsung Galaxy XR headset.
It's like having your computer screen right in front of you in virtual reality.
You can use your keyboard, mouse, or game controller to interact with the PC apps and games.
This makes it easy to play PC games or work on your computer in a virtual environment.
Google is also planning to add support for Mac computers in 2026.
Additionally, they are working on an AI feature that will convert 2D streams into 3D for a more immersive experience.
Some popular games like Stray, Vacation Simulator, and NFL Pro Era are already part of this ecosystem.
Google introduced PC Connect for Android XR, allowing streaming of Windows PC games and apps to Samsung Galaxy XR headset.
The feature uses low-latency technology from the Stadia project and supports input from keyboards, mice, or controllers.
PC Connect enables multitasking by displaying PC desktops or windows side-by-side with Android XR apps.
The update expands PC streaming beyond Steam VR or Galaxy Book links to general Windows PCs, with Mac support planned for 2026.
Google's Android XR, co-developed with Samsung and Qualcomm, will include AI-driven System Autospatialization for real-time 3D conversion of 2D PC streams.
